It was my birthday a few weeks ago and I got some lovely things, including these two fab literary gifts. I’ve had to get them framed and hung on the wall of my little study (which has altered a bit since my last post about it – I’ll do another post about that at some point).
Lovely aren’t they?
The first one is a coloured illustration from Alice in Wonderland drawn across an A4 page of a French book. Unusual but very beautiful.
The next is a ‘Book Map: The History of Literature Set to the Art of Cartography’. Now I love a good map and a good map from a book is even better. A map made from books? Jackpot.
As you can see from these close ups, everything is named after a book. Each street, each building, each park – all books. For a book fan, this thing provides plenty of fun in book spotting and it looks super duper cool on the wall.
Although this was a present it was one of those ‘hey if you’re not sure what to get me’ ones, so if you’re looking for your own one then visit this website. They also do the same with films, TV shows and songs!
Wow! Those are both fantastic! I’m especially fond of the map, but the Alice print is very pretty.
