We all struggle with writer’s block from time to time. It’s the worst feeling, wanting to writ but feeling like the creativity has been sucked out of you. There are no easy answers. Sometimes you have to wait it out. Sometimes you can force yourself through it. But one neat trick to try is this – move.
Move yourself
Exercising can help with your writing but I know it’s not everyone’s bottle of energy drink. So if you’re not up for a run, try a walk. Pop downstairs for some nibbles, fold the washing, or do a funky dance with your pants on your head! Yeah maybe skip the last one. But moving away from your writing or getting your body moving can be what it takes to unstick the stuck.
Move your writing
For more of a long-term impact, try moving where you write. This could simply be putting your desk against a different wall or moving to another room. If you’re lucky enough to have an outside space like a garden or balcony and the weather is cooperating, then try there. If space is at a premium, you could try going to a park or library, or perhaps a coffee shop if you need more of a bustling environment. A pen and paper will suffice if you’ve no portable device, but it may even be possible to work off your phone using a Cloud to save your writing. Getting into a routine helps your writing, but getting stuck in a rut won’t. The simple act of writing somewhere different can be enough to get you going again.
What do you think? Do you move for inspiration? Let me know in the comments!

Some great tips here! So we are to wake up, shake up and move the body! ๐ช๐๐๐๐
