I’m a Fabuly Writing Competition semi-finalist – and you can vote for the finalists

In my post “Taking Stock of 2024” I talked about how I’d been entering a lot of writing competitions, mostly for poetry and short stories. And I’ve been shortlisted for some too, which I’m pretty happy with.

Recently I was thrilled to find out I’ve reached the semi-final in the Fabuly Writer’s Challenge short story competition! Fabuly is a free app to listen to or read classic stories that you can download from Apple or from Android. There are 25 stories in the semi-final, all available to read on the app. Readers can vote for their favourite and the top ten advance to the final where a panel of judges will choose the winner.

My story “Human Resources, is set in a future where companies can grow their own workers, so if that sounds like your thing, why not give it a read? And if you like it, you can vote for it! The stories will be up until 15th February.

Putting my work out there this year has been an interesting challenge and I’m intrigued to know what people think, so if you do read it, please drop any thoughts in the comments below. And if you find you really like my work, you can get either of my ebooks free on Kindle Unlimited or buy them for just £1.99.
