With everything going on, I’ve not been on the ball with my shameless self-promotion. Well that stops now. During my recent writing competition blitz (or maybe spritz is more appropriate), I was fortunate to be shortlisted for the Hammond House 2024 International Literary Competition which also means I’ve been published in their latest short story anthology “Time”.
My story “The Ever-Present”, follows a group of ghosts and their experience of time as they watch the latest batch of ghost hunters explore the abandoned building they call home. There are a bunch of other fantastic stories in the anthology as it includes all the shortlisted entries and eventual winners. If that sounds like your thing, you can purchase a copy from the Hammond House website.
This is the first time I’ve had a story included in a printed anthology and so I’m rather pleased about it. Especially as I worked hard on this short tale and I rather like it if I do say so myself.
Any writing successes you’d like to share? Please do so in the comments and let us engage in mutual backslapping!

Congratulations, Rachel!
