About me

My name is Rachel aka Wordlander and I’ve been playing around with words ever since I could hold a pen. My favourite author of all time is the late, great Terry Pratchett.

I write a little bit of whatever I fancy. I do full-length novels, short stories, flash fiction and poetry. I lean towards fantasy, sci-fi and horror, but I also like to try more literary work plus some comedy usually sneaks in too. If that sounds like your thing, check out my two e-books, available to buy on Kindle for just £1.99 or free with Kindle Unlimited.

On this blog you’ll find all sorts related to writing and books:

I’m currently working on a project called “Away, Behind”, a literary work set over three separate times, with some fantastical and dystopian elements thrown in. I’m also entering lots of writing competitions.

Pick a spot. A cosy chair, a squishy bean bag, a nook by the window. Have a cup of tea. Open a book.
Welcome to Wordland.

  1. AH MY SORT OF WRITER. Oops sorry about the caps. Ghost in the machine. I’d add N Gaiman and D Adams to that inspiring list and if you’ve not found Ben Aaronovitch yet, Rachael you’re in for a treat…
