The Cauldron Trilogy – the Plan is done!

It’s taken four months, 21 pages and over 11.5K of words to complete my plan for ‘The Cauldron Trilogy’. And whilst this is terrific, I’m fully aware that any book plan is on uneven ground once you start writing and your characters try to misbehave.

This is the most complex writing project I’ve ever attempted, with many characters and plotlines to keep track of, hence the focus on the planning part. I’m glad I did it but boy am I glad I’ve finished!

I’m considering doing the first draft as part of NaNoWriMo this November. I’ve not tried it before but as the planning took so long, the idea of blasting down the first draft in just a month sounds fun (and also terrifying). On the other hand, I’m so eager to just start writing creatively again, I don’t think I can wait until November!

Have any of you tried NaNoWriMo before? Did you love it or hate it?
